Physiological top-full of direst cruelty! Make thick

Physiological Report of Lady Macbeth                   On January 30, I met Lady Macbeth for her psychological appointment. She came in at 12 pm and I started to ask her some questions about the way she thinks. Her feelings toward specific stuff, how does she behave in specific moments, I also asked her if she experienced any hallucination over the last few month, how is her sleeping going. Does she ever think of harming herself or others, when and why. I also observed her reaction to analyze her response to some key terms like “Macbeth, Duncan, murder, king” and behavior.                   I think that Lady Macbeth had some hallucinations she told me “that croaks the fatal entrance of Duncan under the battlements. Come, you spirits that tend on mortal thoughts, unsex me here, and fill me, from the crown to the toe, top-full of direst cruelty! Make thick my blood” (Shakespeare, 270). From my observation, Lady Macbeth is mentally unstable. When Macbeth told her that the witches told him how he is going to be thane of Glamis, thane of Cawdor and to become a king. She became obsessed and wanted to take action into her own hand. She told me “Glamis thou art, and Cawdor, and shalt be what thou art promised. Yet do I fear thy nature: It is too full o´ th´ milk of human kindness to catch the nearest way” (Shakespeare, 270). She wanted to kill Duncan herself if only he did not look like her father, she said “I laid their daggers ready: He could not miss em. Had he not resembled my father as he slept, I had done’t” (Shakespeare, 284).              Lady Macbeth has done a lot of bad things in her life, she is the primary reason of why Macbeth was convinced to kill the king Duncan. Lady Macbeth told me how she told her husband “live a coward in thine own esteem” ( Shakespeare, 274). She questioned Macbeth manhood to make him angry and kill the king. From my observation, I feel like Lady Macbeth is strong, willed, determined, wants things done her way no matter what. When we talked about why is she feeling the need to kill Duncan, why does killing him make her feel better. She said that killing him will make her feel more powerful because she will become queen.              I found out that Lady Macbeth is a controlling person and she tricks who is around her to convince them to do what she wants. She told me that Macbeth did not agree with killing the king and that he regrets it, he even said ¨ But wherefore could not I pronounce¨Amen¨? I had most need of blessing, and ¨Amen¨ stuck in my throat¨ (Shakespeare, 284). Lady Macbeth only cares about her benefits and how is she going to be happy. She even told me that she planned the murder herself ¨ When Duncan is asleep whereto the rather shall this day´s hard journey Soundly invite him-his two chamberlains……..what not put upon his spongy officers, who shall bear the guilt of our great quell¨ (Shakespeare, 274). And how she planned to blame the guards for the king’s murder, so she and Macbeth can get away with it.               From my diagnosis I think that Lady Macbeth is ill with paranoid schizophrenia (Ward,Areta. “Prezi.”), People with schizophrenia aren’t usually violent. But sometimes, they can have a paranoid hallucination that can make them feel threatened and angry and they may experience some paranoid delusions. I think that Lady Macbeth felt threatened that Duncan was still alive and that her husband cannot be a king yet. She is also showing symptoms of delusions where she tries everything to Duncan’s death. She told me “what hath quenched them hath given me fire. Hark! Peace! It was the owl that shrieked, the fatal bellman, which gives the stern’st good-night.”(Shakespeare, 283). Lady Macbeth believes that the owl has announced the death of Duncan. Some treatments to people with paranoid schizophrenic are neuroleptics, psychotherapy, hospitalization, electroconvulsive therapy, and vocational skills training.( “Schizophrenia, Mayo Clinic, October 2016” ). I strongly recommend Lady Macbeth to have some therapy and to let all that she is feeling out. I think that Lady Macbeth motive is her need for power, she made her husband kill Duncan so she can feel in control. Lady Macbeth problem is that she has no limit on how to reach her goals.
