The Pokemon franchise is formed between three companies, Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures through a group cooperation. Through Satoshi Tajiri’s hobby of collecting insects as a kid, when Game Boy’s were released, he thought of the idea of creating an alternate universe with fictional “creatures” with fictional characters collecting these creatures. Gameplay Concept:The original game consists of three concepts. The goal was to fill up the regional Pokedex consisting of all the Pokemons in the region. Then by transferring other Pokemon from different regions, the second goal was to complete the national Pokedex. In addition to filling both the regional and national Pokedex, the player of the game was to train the most powerful Pokemon team to compete and eventually win the pokemon league to become the regional champion. In this alternate Pokemon universe, the trainer or the player of the game will encounter various Pokemon as they continue their journey throughout each region in the Pokemon world. By defeating local trainers and earning money off of them, the player will be able to receive prizes and also buy specialized tools in capturing pokemon. These spherical tools also known as Pokeballs, have the capability of capturing pokemons adding them into the user’s Pokedex. While it may seem easy to capture many Pokemon, Pokemon have the ability of escaping the Pokeball either running away or giving the user another shot at capturing the Pokemon. However, if the Pokemon is caught, the Pokemon becomes under the possession of the trainer and obeys whatever commands it receives from the player. By increasing the level of these Pokemon by defeating other Pokemon, the Pokemon becomes stronger by amplifying their statistics of attack and speed. As the pokemon levels up, it will become capable of learning new techniques and attack moves or even transform into a stronger specie of the Pokemon also known as evolution. Through the trainers journey through the Pokemon world, the trainer meets upon eight gym leaders featuring the eight most powerful trainers sometimes referred as Gym Leaders. In order for the trainer to progress to the next stage, he or she must defeat the Gym Leaders to obtain Gym Badges that symbolized that you’ve beat them. After all eight Gym Badges are obtains, the trainer is able to take upon the Pokemon League. The Pokemon League, also sometimes referred to the Elite Four consists of the four most powerful trainers in the whole Pokemon region.
