Children need to have a proper education

Children with disabilities have a difficult time maintaining the accurate human rights they need to have a proper education or family sustainability. It is estimated that between 500 to 650 million people worldwide live with serious disabilities (UNICEF Innocenti Research Centre, 2007). Across the CEE/CIS region, the children who are considered disabled have tripled from 500,000 in 1990 to 1.5 million in 2002 (UNICEF, 2011). The CEE/CIS region is located in Geneva, Switzerland. It is an organization that supervises and collaborates with UNICEF to ensures that work is done in Europe and Central Asia. More than one billion people have disabilities and 4 in 5 people live in developing countries Children with disabilities have a higher risk of being physically abused and are generally prohibited from correct nutrition or humanitarian assistance (The Right to Education for Persons with Disabilities, 2015).  According to Dictionary.com, “developing country; a poor agricultural country that is seeking to become more advanced economically and socially.” The World Bank has a methodology that considers countries “developing” if the capita isn’t greater than US$12,275. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) brings economic, social benefits and technology efforts to developing countries. According to iso.org, “Developing countries can use International Standards to access knowledge in areas where they may lack expertise and/or resources.” Many children who live in the poorest areas are more capable of becoming disabled due to poor health care and malnutrition. The Journal of Developing Areas (JDA) aims to research on issues from developing countries to process economic development. It also researches on inner city problems such as urban/regional, economic or social issues. Because of discrimination, they can’t get their proper human rights for survival.According to the World Bank that it is has estimated that one in five of the world’s poorest people is persons with disabilities, they are on less than one dollar a day and the lack of food, clean water, clothing, and shelter. Associations by and for individuals with handicaps have existed since the 1800s. However, they detonated in fame in the 1900s when The American National Association for Down Syndrome was founded by Kathryn McGee whose daughter; Tricia suffered from Down Syndrome and wasn’t getting a proper life because of discrimination. In the 1940s a group of patients to form a group called ‘We are not Alone’ They supported other disabled patients in their transition from the hospital to the community. 10 years later many groups of this king came together and now formed a new association called the National Association for Retarded Children (NARC)  which helped children get included properly into society and get a fitting health care and education. Between the years 1960 and 1963, President Kennedy sorted out a few arranging committees to treat and research disability. The 1975 Education of All Handicapped Children Act guaranteed children with disabilities the right to public school education (Perri Meldon: The Disability Rights Movement, 2015).The daily life of children with disabilities and their families frequently consists of discrimination and exclusion, in many countries of the world. There are two types of discrimination, they can be direct, indirect, or a combination of the two. Direct discrimination takes place when a child with a disability is treated inferiorly than a child without a disability, all this because of his/her inability to work like the others. Indirect discrimination happens when practices or strategies that don’t quickly seem to oppress youngsters with inabilities really have an unfair effect impact, bringing the forswearing of certain human rights. Indirect discrimination may be unintentional. But its harm has an equal impact on those who are being discriminated. Many children had been discriminated from education. Schools all around the world are failing children because of ‘the lack of capability’ (David Roy, Children with Disability Are Being Excluded from Education, 2018). There are 3 main federal laws that protect children with disabilities especially those who have scholarly issues These laws are the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.  The IDEA a governmental law that expects schools to give custom curriculums and administrations to kids with disabilities who require them. ADA is the federal law that assures people with disabilities so they are not discriminated in the employment. Lastly for Section 504, is a civil rights law that prohibits all sorts of discrimination against people with disabilities. Each of these laws has its own feature like IDEA
