Book Thief Characters Essay In every story the characters are the ones who captivate a reader. In Zusak’s novel “The book thief” he makes an effort to create characters with enough personality that they didn’t even need to be described. There are many attitudes and reactions that characters have trough out the book, and they give away who they really are. The characters seem so real that at a certain point, the reader could forget the characters are not real. One example of that “reality confusion” is how Death portraits himself as a human.
