do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving
thanks to God the Father through him”, so if I’m accepted into such prestigious
college, I will make sure that whatever I do whether academically, spiritually,
or socially, I will do it in the name of the Lord Jesus.    

When in comes to community life, I can be an introvert
or extrovert. Although I enjoy large gatherings I find it difficult to interact
with strangers. I hope that as I come to Calvin College, I would be able to
conquer this fear that I have and interact with people and share my culture
with them.

Spiritually, I can contribute to Calvin College in
many ways. Firstly, since I am an international student, I can teach my fellow peers
and faculty some local songs that I know from my country Ghana. I also hope
that I will be someone at Calvin who, to my peers and faculty, will be an extension
of Christ’s love and grace to me. I also hope that I will be able to learn more
about Christ and develop a closer relationship with Him.

Academically, I am willing to go past my safe zone and
work hard at Calvin. I am also able to think outside of the box so I can
contribute during my lectures by sharing my ideas. Although I will have a busy
schedule, I am willing to take challenging courses and work hard towards
achieving my goal. During my last two years in high school, I took the Advanced
Level and Advanced Subsidiary Level Economics and I knew that if I put my mind
to something I can achieve it since I had never done Economics before but I was
able to work hard and achieve high grades in Economics.  As a student, I also hope that I will be able
to challenge my peers so they are able to reach their full potential.
